Echoes of the Yhric Birds

Performed at my Senior piano recital by myself on piano and Kathryn Stiadle on flute.

Echoes of the Yhric Birds is a mysterious piece depicting a fictional type of bird. All of the melodic and harmonic content is directly taken from two similar sets of six notes. Although the notes never change throughout the piece, the rhythmic interplay and silences give the piece a compelling narrative.
